- Key Account Manager
Responsibilities
- Manage and nurture relationships with key retail accounts, serving as the primary point of contact to drive long-term business growth.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with company objectives and customer needs, including setting sales targets and identifying growth opportunities.
- Achieve revenue, volume, and margin targets by optimizing product mix, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Lead contract negotiations, manage trade spend, and ensure profitable, policy-compliant partnerships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, supply chain, finance, category) to align on execution, forecasting, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to generate actionable insights and support commercial strategy.
- Track key performance metrics (e.g., sales, profitability, distribution), preparing regular reports to support data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinker with solid commercial acumen
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and sales capabilities
- Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and impactful presentations
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA/Post-grad preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in FMCG sales or key account management, preferably in the UAE retail sector
- Deep understanding of the FMCG market, consumer behavior, and modern trade dynamics
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) with strong numerical and analytical skills
- Effective communicator with leadership potential and a customer-centric mindset
