Description
Positions:
- Assistant Accountant
Financial Record Keeping:
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
- Help in reconciling accounts, including bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Invoicing and Payments:
- Process invoices and follow up on pending payments.
- Assist in the preparation of payment vouchers and check payments.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
- Data Entry and Documentation:
- Enter financial data into accounting software and maintain organized records.
- Ensure all financial documentation is properly filed and accessible.
- Assist in the preparation of financial documentation for audits.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Assist in ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.
- Support the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings.
- Help in preparing financial statements and management reports.
Support Functions:
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reporting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance is mandatory.
- Must be currently in UAE
- Experience in UAE - minimum 1-2 years
- Internship or previous experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Preferably who can join immediately.
