Description
Positions:
Relationship Manager, Business Banking (Trade Finance/Working Capital)
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with business clients by acting as their primary point of contact for all trade finance and working capital needs.
- Understand clients’ business models, financial requirements, and operational challenges to provide customized solutions that drive their growth.
- Conduct regular client reviews and meetings to assess satisfaction, identify additional needs, and strengthen the overall client relationship.
Business Development & Sales:
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities in the trade finance and working capital segments across the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to meet revenue and business growth objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design and tailor financial products that meet the unique needs of corporate clients in trade finance and working capital.
Trade Finance & Working Capital Expertise:
- Provide expert advisory services on trade finance products, including letters of credit, documentary collections, supply chain finance, and receivables financing.
- Analyze client financial statements and transaction flows to evaluate working capital requirements and propose suitable financing solutions.
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes affecting trade finance and working capital, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Financial Analysis & Credit Evaluation:
- Assist in the analysis and assessment of credit applications specific to trade finance and working capital, ensuring compliance with internal policies and risk management guidelines.
- Prepare detailed proposals and financial models to support credit decisions and product offerings.
- Work closely with the credit and risk teams to assess client risk profiles and ensure robust risk management practices.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics in trade finance and working capital.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and market research using CRM systems.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management regarding business development activities, client feedback, and market opportunities.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Credit, Risk, Product, and Marketing to ensure integrated execution of client solutions.
- Participate in training and development initiatives to stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in trade finance and working capital solutions.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
- MBA or professional certification (CFA) is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business banking, corporate finance, or relationship management with a focus on trade finance and working capital.
- Demonstrated success in managing client portfolios and driving revenue growth within the financial services industry.
- Experience in working with multinational clients and navigating the complexities of global trade finance is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of trade finance and working capital products and solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse business clients.
- Proficient in financial analysis and credit evaluation techniques, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Results-driven with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and financial modeling tools.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages relevant to the region are an advantage.
