Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented In-House Accountant to manage the financial operations of two interrelated companies. The role includes handling bookkeeping, financial planning, VAT filings, corporate tax returns, payroll, and customer debt settlements. The ideal candidate will maintain financial schedules, oversee general ledger processes, ensure accurate reconciliations, and strategically optimize operations to enhance efficiency. This is a full-time position offering a dynamic opportunity to contribute to a growing company located in JAFZA ONE, Dubai.
The nominee will join the company immediately.
Positions:
- Accountant
- Manage bookkeeping and financial operations for two interrelated companies—one focused on domestic sales and the other on reexports.
- Oversee VAT filings, corporate tax returns, and compliance with UAE regulations.
- Prepare monthly financial reports as required by management.
- Handle the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain financial schedules, including fixed asset schedules, prepaid schedules, and provision-related schedules.
- Manage the complete general ledger cycle, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Oversee the Accounts Payable process, ensuring timely invoice processing and reconciliations.
- Monitor expense allocations, identify discrepancies, and ensure accurate recording in the correct profit/cost centers.
- Generate invoices for the e-commerce division.
- Reconcile cash, payables, and receivables on a regular basis.
- Ensure proper archiving of documents as per company policy.
- Perform regular inventory reconciliation.
- Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding.
- Provide ad hoc reports as required by management.
- Strategically optimize financial operations between the two companies and enhance efficiency.
- Communicate with customers to ensure timely debt settlement.
- Handle payroll processes, currently limited to one employee, with potential for expansion.
- Maintain and improve the current accounting systems, with the flexibility to implement preferred software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in financial planning, reporting, and bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Zoho Books is required, with the freedom to implement alternative systems or software.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax laws.
- Experience in managing multi-entity financial operations is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to engage professionally with customers for debt settlements.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Urdu, Hindi is an advantage.
- CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
