Responsibilities
- Manage sustainability tasks including ensuring compliance w/ sustainability requirements, developing sustainability roadmaps in alignment with local and international sustainability standards such as LEED etc.
- Overview of sustainability rating systems & prepare corresponding documentation for projects to ensure compliance with Estidama, LEED & WELL.
- Develop & implement sustainability strategies & initiatives for fit-out projects.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations & standards.
- Engage with stakeholders to develop sustainability plans for construction waste management, environmental activity pollution prevention, air quality flushing and monitoring, commissioning review & reporting & sustainable materials procurement strategy.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments & recommend sustainable solutions.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate green building practices & materials.
- Monitor & review sustainability monthly progress reports and management plans to secure compliance assess sustainability performance & outcomes.
- Perform environmental audits & assessments to identify areas for improvement & implement corrective actions as needed
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations & innovations related to sustainability & environmental management.
- Provide guidance & training to team members on sustainable practices.
Requirements
- Architecture or Engineering Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability or related field.
- LEED GA Certification is required; LEED AP certification is a plus.
- Estidama PQP (Pearl Qualified Professional) accreditation is advantageous.
- 3-5 years’ proven experience in sustainability & environmental management, preferably in fit-out or construction projects.
- Strong communication, interpersonal & organizational skills.
- In-depth knowledge of green building standards, environmental regulations & certifications (e.g., LEED, WELL, ESTIDAMA ).
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders & project teams.
- Proficiency in relevant software & tools for sustainability assessments.
- Experience with sustainability reporting & documentation.
- Fluency in both Arabic & English, with strong verbal & written communication skills.
