Join our team as a Logistics Assistant and oversee material transportation, ensure compliance, and optimise supply chain operations. We are looking for an individual with Logistics experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in SAP and Excel. If that sounds like you, we’d like to hear from you.
Positions:
- Logistics Assistant
- Shipment Monitoring: Track and monitor the transportation of materials to ensure timely and legal delivery.
- Documentation Review: Review, verify, and reconcile shipping documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Administrative Support: Provide support in completing paperwork and documentation related to logistics operations.
- Clerical Tasks: Carry out clerical duties, including data entry, proofreading, and editing documents, correspondence, and reports.
- Data Management: Develop and prepare databases, reports, and presentation materials for the logistics unit.
- Shipping Documentation: Prepare shipping documents such as Commercial Invoices and Packing Lists for ongoing shipments and projects.
- Data Entry: Enter data into spreadsheets from various sources and verify input and calculations.
- Electronic Filing: Maintain an organized electronic filing system for administrative documentation to ensure easy retrieval.
- Transportation Planning: Select appropriate transportation modes based on factors like cost, speed, and reliability.
- Carrier Management: Negotiate rates with carriers and manage carrier relationships.
- Shipment Tracking: Track shipments and resolve any transportation issues.
- Customs Clearance: Coordinate customs clearance procedures.
- Supplier and Customer Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate logistics activities with suppliers and customers.
- Dispute Resolution: Resolve any logistics-related disputes.
- Supply Chain Optimisation: Analyse and improve the overall supply chain process.
- Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
- Technology Implementation: Implement new logistics technologies and practices.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, customs requirements, and other relevant laws.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Work experience as a Logistics Assistant or similar role.
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Hands-on experience with SAP software.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of market research.
- Minimum of 1-2 years UAE experience in the same field
- MOFAIC Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all MOFAIC regulations and procedures related to shipping activities.
- Shipping Process Expertise: Demonstrate a solid understanding of shipping processes, including documentation, customs clearance, and transportation.
- Communication and Teamwork: Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, shipping companies, and customers. Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve shared goals.
- Organisational and Investigative Skills: Maintain a high level of organisation and attention to detail. Conduct thorough investigations to identify and resolve compliance issues.
- Stress Management: Demonstrate the ability to perform duties diligently and effectively, even under pressure.
- Physical Fitness: Maintain a high level of physical fitness and mobility to meet the demands of the role.
