Description
Positions:
- Actuarial Associate
- Assist in all actuarial related work and correspondence with the Consulting Actuary related to all lines of business namely individual life, group life, medical and P&C lines.
- A Prepare quarterly Actuarial Valuation Data for all lines of business including handling of all queries and checking for abnormalities in the data provided to the Consulting Actuary. Review quarterly valuation results provided by the Consulting Actuary.
- A Calculate Combined Ratios on quarterly basis for all short-term lines of business.
- A Calculate ratios on investments (quick ratio, current ratio, ROE and liquidity ratio) as part of ALM analysis on a quarterly basis.
- A Calculate NAV and unit prices of unit linked plans.
- A Prepare and conduct presentation for AM Best, respond to their queries and fulfill their data requirements.
- A Support and coordinate with relevant departments and Consulting Actuary with regards to regulatory submissions including quarterly valuations, pricing and performance review reports, product submissions.
- A Prepare annual budget of the company as per the regulatory requirements.
- A Assist the risk function in ORSA and recovery planning exercise by performing prospective solvency calculations, conducting stress/scenario testing and monitoring key risk indicators
- All product-related work including market research, developing/enhancing illustration tools, review of compensation structure, review of policy terms and conditions, review of pricing assumptions/results, submission of product to regulator, support to IT, review of marketing and training material, etc.
- A Assist the management and the Consulting Actuary with work related to the quarterly financial reporting as per IFRS 17 standard.
- Any other duty as and when assigned by the management.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or a related field. Actively pursuing actuarial exams.
- A Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A Expertise in MS Office (Especially in Excel and PowerPoint). Experience of working for the UAE market would be a plus.
- A Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Experience:
- A Minimum 4 years of experience in insurance, reinsurance or in an actuarial consulting business. Prior experience in individual life insurance is preferred.
