DATA ANALYST

We are looking for a dedicated and analytical Health Insurance Data Analyst to join our team. The Health Insurance Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in extracting, analyzing, and interpreting health insurance data to drive informed decision-making, optimize processes, and improve the overall performance of our insurance products and services. 

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data analysis, a deep understanding of the healthcare and insurance industries, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze health insurance data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies related to claims, costs, and utilization. 
• Review group and individual clients' renewal performance. 
• Overview Bordereaux and TPA payments. 
• Develop data visualizations and presentations related to claims, premiums and loss ratio and effectively communicate findings to various stakeholders. 
• Perform audits of direct billing and reimbursement claims from TPA for payment. 
• Monitor healthcare cost and utilization trends and provide recommendations to mitigate risks or optimize insurance offerings. 
• Regularly track and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to health insurance, such as claims processing times, denials, and member satisfaction. Provide recommendations for performance improvement. 
• Develop internal business intelligence reports - including interactive business dashboards, strategic management reports, and ad hoc reports - on a prioritized basis. 
• Provide timely and accurate information cross-functional in a user-friendly, usable, and digestible way. 
• Identify opportunities for streamlining and improving insurance processes through data-driven insights. 
• Assist in medical approvals and service-related matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in data science, Health Informatics, Actuarial Science, or a related field. Medical background is an advantage. 
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience as Data Analyst in the healthcare or health insurance industry. 
• Excellent communication and presentation skills 
• Ability to solve problems and suggest solutions to improve business processes and results. 
• Fluency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general internet navigation and research skills. 
• Knowledge of health insurance terminology, claims processing, and healthcare regulations. 
• Robust statistical analysis and data modelling skills. 
• Experience with data visualization tools is desirable. 
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. 
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance and data security best practices.
