- Technical Designer
Description
We are looking for A Technical Designer to join our design team and lead our design projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed technical drawings from verbal descriptions, sketches, and other reference materials.
- Interpret and understand customer specifications and requirements to develop CAD models.
- Oversee the design project from end to end, starting from conceptualization to completion.
- Review and modify existing drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Research new technologies to develop innovative drawings and designs.
- Utilize advanced software applications such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Revit to create drawings.
- Monitor drawings throughout the entire design process for accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Provide technical support for production processes.
- Expertise in custom furniture, all installations, layout, color, lighting, and materials selection.
- Prepares visual layouts as per the brand guidelines and sends them for approval.
- Work closely with the project manager, design coordinators, and production teams on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production.
Required Skills
- Technical skills and the ability to use design/ production software.
- Problem-solving skills and creative thinking.
- Minimum 4-5 years experience in the retail & fit-out industry.
- Attention to detail.
- 4-5 experience in AutoCAD
- Organization and time management.
- Commercial Brand awareness.
- Communication skills.
- Teamworking, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
- Client management skills.
- Leadership skills and decisiveness.
- Strong creative and organizational skills with a strong out-of-the-box mindset.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
