Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoices, preparing payment vouchers, and ensuring that payments are made on time.
• Reconcile accounts payable statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate petty cash records and process petty cash transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for accounts payable and petty cash accounts.
• Prepare and maintain vendor files, including verifying vendor information and ensuring registration forms are on file for all vendors.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including accounts payable aging reports and cash flow forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines, such as VAT and Tax laws in UAE.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable and petty cash management, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.
• Experience with accounting software and systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of UAE Tax regulations and guidelines related to accounting is preferred.
