We're hiring Senior Project Architects in our UAE offices!

That's an excellent opportunity for architects with design management, BIM, and Revit experience to join an internationally renowned consultancy firm and work on large-scale, multidisciplinary projects across the Gulf and MENA regions. 

The Senior Project Architect leads the architectural design activities of projects of medium and high complexity in the design center. The jobholder ensures an effective and aesthetic architectural design for projects, which accommodates the requirements of the client, local authorities, architectural standards and codes of practice and the requirements of other disciplines. 

The Senior Project Architect is expected to act as a team leader on one or more projects to complete design cycle, including schematic design, detailed design and preparation of tender documents. The jobholder shall stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the [specialty] design field and represent the firm and share his expertise and knowledge with other team members.

Responsibilities

• Ensure responsibilities are fulfilled with a high quality cost-effectively
• Support Project Managers with the management of client relations and expectations, as needed
• Support Project Managers in client presentations and workshops, as needed
• Support Project Managers with the responding to client clarifications and technical issues, as needed
• Ensure client satisfaction with Buildings design deliverables
• Support the collection of internally available data to support project execution
• Lead discussions with clients to determine criteria guiding design, including budgets, preferences, etc.
• Lead small teams of junior engineers, as needed
• Coordinate with the concept design teams for concept designs of medium to high complexity projects, as needed
• Assist Project Managers in monitoring and managing the projects’ budget and schedule, as needed
• Provide support to Project Managers in developing periodic progress reports, as needed
• Assist Project Managers with implementing quality control policies and procedures on design deliverables and conduct peer review on team members’ deliverables
• Support during the supervision stage, as needed, including responding to RFIs and solving Buildings design conflicts, in coordination with local design support teams

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in a top tier regional / multinational engineering consultancy, Design, or Planning Industry
• Strong knowledge of construction detailing
• Experience of working in Revit
• Strong experience in large and complex projects
• Experience in the UAE is preferred
• Capable of managing multiple projects at any given time
• Capable to play a client facing role leading the project design management with strong communication skills - written and verbal
• Wider understanding and experience of multi-disciplinary coordination and ability to handle multiple sub-consultants
