Responsibilities
- Oversee repair and replacement of faulty thermostats, wiring, controls and compressors
- Troubleshoot faults on the HVAC system and provide technical solutions.
- Prepare and develop planned preventive maintenance for all HVAC equipment
- Ensure that preventive planned maintenance is carried out in a timely manner
- Supervises major overhaul or installation of environmental control system to assure that work is carried out according to plans and specifications.
- Conducts a quality check of work in progress or upon completion to ensure good quality of work is carried out.
- Review the work of contractors if it meets the specifications required to ensure quality assurance.
- Train staff in the proper use of tools and proper work procedures.
- Ensure reactive maintenance reports are filled properly by the technicians.
- Ensure proper parts replacement or repair is being carried out as per industry standards.
- Be familiar with all types of chillers
- Prepare technical report for repair or replacement of equipment
- Prepare scope of work for the supply and installation of chillers, pumps, AHU, FAHU, FCU, valves, controls and cooling towers.
- Be familiar with BMS and all HVAC controls and sequence of operations.
- Ensure chillers are working within design limits and achieve the best performance.
- To receive oral or written work requests and set priorities.
- To review all work orders before and after completion.
- To maintain budget, records, files, and prepare reports.
- To supervise major overhaul or installation of environmental control systems to assure that work is carried out according to plans and specifications.
- To conduct a quality check of work in progress or upon completion to assure acceptability.
- To oversees repair and replacement of faulty thermostats, wiring and controls, and compressors.
- To review the work of contractors/ teams for adherence to plans and specifications and for quality assurance.
- To inform staff in the proper use of tools, and proper work procedures.
- To keep records of work orders, inventory and expenditures.
- To estimate and order needed equipment and supplies.
- To determines the appropriate HVAC equipment and to design air flow control systems.
- To design modifications to existing systems to achieve efficient operation.
- To review plans and specifications for new construction to determine compatibility with existing equipment or acceptability of design.
- To provide technical assistance to technicians when needed
- To recommend persons to be hired, disciplined, discharged, or promoted.
- To perform other duties/special assignments as required or to meet the ongoing needs of the department.
- To establish, assign, and adjust work methods and procedures to meet schedules using knowledge of capacities and capabilities of personnel and equipment.
- To initiate measures to improve methods, equipment performance, and quality of work.
- To maintain responsibility for the correct stock levels of repair or replacement parts.
- Inspect work in process to insure its completion within allotted time limits and for acceptable quality standards.
- To coordinate with suppliers, contractors, engineers, and others concerning equipment operations or maintenance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School graduate with 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role in any industry.
