Carrier Fire & Security Products is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for its Autronica BU to promote the business in Commercial and Industrial (LAND) market for the Middle East region. 

Here at Carrier’s Fire & Security Products (FSP), we are the world’s largest manufacturer of Fire alarm system products. Our mission is to provide solutions that protect people and property from the effects of fire and gas leak and its related hazards. For more than 60 years major end user companies have relied on Autronica to deliver outstanding fire alarm system products.

This position reports directly to the Sales Director of ME and India region, collaborating with the full spectrum of LAND team leaders, including product management, operations, finance, engineering, and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Promotion of the technical capabilities of Autronica products towards key customers.
  • Along with the RSD, actively participate in strategy work for the region in order to further develop Autronica market share and meet defined goals.
  • Keep abreast with technological developments in the field, and report regularly on competitors activities and strategies.
  • Identify new distributors and develop account plans that help pave the way for long term profitable growth.
  • Implement all approved plans in a timely manner and provide ongoing feedback as to the level of success achieved versus plan and any ongoing corrective actions.
  • Ensure that the sales activity within the accounts is very regular and high quality.
  • Willingness to travel through out the ME countries for business.
  • Present product and solution offerings clearly both verbally and visually.
  • Generate new business opportunities from accounts and manage the enquiry stream from initial concept to proposal submission.
  • Work with estimation team to formulate robust and accurate quotations, proposals & presentations from analysis of enquiry documentation and specifications. 
  • Develop relationships with Commercial and Industrial sector end users, with the objective of obtaining vendor approval for product range and regularly getting Autronica product range specified.
  • Work with the RSD to have input into New Product Development (NPD), forecasting, promotional campaigns, customer visits, exhibitions etc.
  • Provide timely, accurate reporting of sales activity, quotation values and status, business development opportunities, customer issues, competitor activity and any other matters deemed to be important to develop the customer relationship and profitably grow the business.
  • Make sure Autronica brand is listed on the AVL with all major companies and End-users in the region based on the agreed MEI market plan.
  • Explore applications of current products in emerging markets and find additional sales opportunities.

Requirements

  • Engineering Graduate with minimum 8 Years Sales experience in the Commercial and Industrial market covering the middle east.
  • Customer focused style, demonstrating success through a 'Voice of the Customer' approach.
  • Strong people skills, able to listen and ask appropriate questions in order to clearly define customer needs and expectations.
  • Pro-active "can do" approach to the role and the customers.
  • Able to articulate a strong value proposition and capture the maximum revenue relative to the next best alternative.
  • Self-motivated team player, able to work under own initiative as well as in a multi-cultural team spanning numerous time zones and cultures.
  • Self aware, recognizing the impact of approach and behaviors on customers, peers, and other internal and external contacts.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills, capable of adapting style and tone according to the situation and audience.
  • Demonstrates a high level of planning & organization skills on a daily basis.
